Edouard Mendy move to the Saudi Pro League from Chelsea player
Edouard Mendy has become the latest Chelsea player to leave for the Saudi Pro League. The Senegalese goalkeeper has joined Al-Ahli after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge. Mendy, 31, kept only one clean sheet in 10 Premier League appearances last term as Kepa Arrizabalaga usurped the Africa Cup of Nations winner's place between the sticks. He will now follow centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly and N'Golo Kante in moving to Saudi Arabia. In a farewell post on Instagram, Mendy said: "As I prepare to begin a new chapter in my career, it's hard to say goodbye. "It has been an incredible three years wearing the Chelsea jersey, during which we achieved great success, including winning the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
