What is ABT token? How does it work?
The ABT is a utility token for paying the cost associated with using the service. The ABT’s basic utility value is to pay for the cost of using the ArcBlock system. People who contributed resources or services (“Miners”) to the platform will be rewarded with tokens.
Can I mine ABT tokens?
No, ABT tokens are all pre-minted.
“Mining” has a very different meaning in ArcBlock. “Miners” in ArcBlock platform bring computing resources, moreover they help to build the platform together by providing reusable components, new services, and even ready to deploy applications. People who contributed resources or services will be rewarded with tokens.
Is ArcBlock a standalone software package?

Is ArcBlock an open source platform?
ArcBlock is NOT an open source platform, nor it is an open source project. We develop ArcBlock as a commercial software development practices and process. We will open source several critical protocols and their references implementations at the point we reach certain milestones.
Even though ArcBlock is not an open source project, ArcBlock is built with open standards. We’re trying our best not to reinvent the wheel and to build for the application developer’s wants and needs. In addition to open sourcing our core components, we will also actively contribute to a variety of blockchain technology communities.
Is ArcBlock a public blockchain?
No. ArcBlock is not intend to bootstrap yet another new public blockchain. ArcBlock is essentially a computing platform for building and deploying blockchain applications for many other blockchain technologies. ArcBlock itself is powered by a built-in blockchain technology.
Can other projects make their own Token Generation Event with ArcBlock?
Yes. With ArcBlock, developers can also create their own custom tokens that inherit all of the features of our native token ABT. In the near future, developers will be able to make their own token generation event with ArcBlock’s application token once they have built and deployed the applications with ArcBlock.
Do I have to do registration and KYC?
Yes. Registration and KYC is mandatory.
Who can participate in the Token Sale Event?
Due to regulatory reasons, we will not accept participants from People's Republic of China, United States, New Zealand, Canada, South Korea, and OFAC sanctioned countries (please see list here: OFAC list) (link: https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/Programs/Pages/Programs.aspx)
When does the registration for public sale starts/close?
The registration starts on Jan 15, 2018, 7 p.m. CST and closes on Jan 28, 2018, 7 p.m. CST.
What do I need to provide for KYC?
Please provide the following information:

Why do I need to specify my Ethereum address during the registration?
You will receive your purchased ArcBlock tokens at the ETH address you provide us.
How many Ethereum addresses can I register?
You can register only one Ethereum address. If you would like to update your Ethereum address to another, you may send email to support@arcblock.io.
How long does the verification take?
The verification may take up to 7-10 business days (may take longer in some situations). Once approved, you will be notified through email of your eligibility to participate in the ArcBlock token sale event.
Can I modify my KYC information after submission?
Yes. If you would like to modify your KYC information, you may send email to support@arcblock.io.
What’s the process and schedule of ABT private sale?
Private Sale: starting Jan 12, 2018, 7pm CST
Private Sale Application: starting Jan 12, 2018, 7pm CST
1. Log on to ArcBlock’s official website arcblock.io, click the “Participate Private Sale” button. You’ll be redirected to the Google Form. Please fill in the information and submit.
2. Please wait for the review, selecting and the confirmation of your quota.
3. After you are approved and selected, please finish the KYC through email (ALL the emails will be sent through support@arcblock.io)
4. Please click the link in the email you received. You’ll be redirected to the official website. Please read the Terms and Conditions and submit. And transfer ETH following the instructions on the page. You will receive an email confirmation after the transaction is completed.
5. ArcBlock will distribute the ABT tokens in 4 weeks after the public sale ends.
What’s the process and schedule of ABT public sale?
Public Sale: starting Feb 3, 2018, 7 pm CST
Public Sale Registration: Jan 15, 2018, 7pm CST - Jan 28, 2018, 7pm CST
1. Log on to ArcBlock’s official website arcblock.io, click the “Sign Up” button in the main navigation.
2. Register your account and wait for email verification.
3. Once your email get verified, you will be able to start the KYC process.
4. Please submit your nationality, name, email, passport photo page scan/government issued photo ID scan (front & back) and your selfie photo for KYC purpose.
5. Wait for your KYC approval.
6. Please wait for the review of KYC.
7. After you completed KYC, please wait for the open of ICO.
8. You will be able to see the ETH/CMT contribution address after ICO opens. Please transfer your ETH/CMT to the address.
9. ArcBlock will distribute the ABT tokens in 4 weeks after the public sale ends.
Is there a minimum or maximum of tokens I can buy?
For users using ETH, the minimum is 0.1 ETH and the maximum is 50 ETH.
For users using CMT, the minimum is 200 CMT and the maximum is 150,000 CMT.
Can I use an ETH address different with registration to join ABT Token Sale?
No. The change of the ETH address may cause failure in token distribution and losing of your funds.
What if I send more than the maximum?
All of your ETH/CMT contribution will be declined.
Can I use a cryptocurrency exchange address as the ETH address to receive my tokens?
No. Please DO NOT use a cryptocurrency exchange address (such as Kraken, Coinbase, Etc.) as the ETH address to receive your tokens.
Is there any wallet you recommend?
Any wallets that support ERC20 tokens will be fine, such as MyEtherWallet, ImToken, etc.
How will I know if my purchase was successful?
You will be able to see your balance and your order history in your account dashboard in arcblock.io. Please allow sufficient time for the transactions to be processed.
When and where will I receive my ABT tokens?
We will simultaneously distribute the ABT tokens to the ETH-wallet you provide upon registration, within 4 week after the end of token sale.
Why is my transaction ‘pending’?
Ethereum transactions need to be confirmed by miners. Once confirmed, your balance will be updated to reflect this. (Sometimes due to congestion of Ethereum network, transaction may take longer.)
What to do if I lose my account password? Will I lose all my ABT tokens?
You can reset your account, by using the “Forgot Password” option. You won’t lose your ABT tokens.
Would we be able to buy ABT tokens using fiat currency ($, £, €, …)?
No. The token sale only accepts Ethereum/ Cybermiles.
